Exploring the Wonders of the Solar System
In this kindergarten science activity, we will be exploring the wonders of the solar system. By the end of this activity, students will know the names of the planets in our solar system, understand their order from the sun, and be able to identify the characteristics of each planet.

Methodology:
We will begin by introducing the solar system and the names of the planets. We will use visual aids such as pictures and videos to help students understand the concept. Next, we will discuss the order of the planets from the sun and their characteristics. We will use a mnemonic device such as 'My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nachos' to help students remember the order of the planets.

- Flashcards with the names of the planets
- Worksheet with questions about the solar system
Activities:
1. Introduction: Show pictures and videos of the solar system and introduce the names of the planets.
2. Mnemonic Device: Teach students the mnemonic device 'My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nachos' to help them remember the order of the planets.
3. Characteristics of Planets: Discuss the characteristics of each planet and have students match the planet to its characteristic.
4. Assessment: Hand out a worksheet with questions about the solar system and have students answer them.
