Methodology
The lesson will begin with a brief lecture on the reasons behind Nazi Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union. Students will then work in pairs to analyze primary sources related to the invasion, such as speeches by Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin, and propaganda posters. After analyzing the sources, students will participate in a class discussion to share their findings and discuss the impact of the invasion on the course of the war.
