Creating a Sustainable Garden Project

In this project, students will learn about the importance of sustainable gardening practices and how they can be implemented in their own homes and communities. The learning outcomes for this project include:

Methodology

Students will work in groups to design and plan a sustainable garden. They will research different types of plants, soil, and composting methods that are best suited for their local environment. They will also learn about the importance of water conservation and how to use rainwater harvesting techniques in their garden. Students will use online resources and books to gather information and create a plan for their garden.

Once the planning phase is complete, students will work together to implement their garden. They will learn about planting techniques, soil preparation, and composting. They will also learn about the importance of maintaining a healthy ecosystem in their garden by using natural pest control methods and avoiding the use of harmful chemicals.

Throughout the project, students will keep a journal to document their progress and reflect on their learning. They will also create a presentation to share their garden design and implementation with the class.

Instructions
