Creating a Digital Portfolio

In this project, students will create a digital portfolio to showcase their learning and growth throughout the year. The portfolio will include various types of media such as text, images, videos, and audio recordings. The project will be divided into three phases: planning, creating, and presenting.

Learning Outcomes

• Students will be able to organize and present their learning in a creative and engaging way.
• Students will develop digital literacy skills by using various types of media to create their portfolio.
• Students will reflect on their learning and growth throughout the year.

Methodology

Students will work individually or in small groups to create their digital portfolio. The project will be introduced in class and students will be given time to plan and brainstorm ideas. They will then use various tools such as Google Sites, Weebly, or Wix to create their portfolio. Throughout the project, students will be encouraged to reflect on their learning and growth and to seek feedback from their peers and teacher.

• Tools such as Google Sites, Weebly, or Wix

Instructions

1. Introduce the project to students and explain the three phases: planning, creating, and presenting.
2. Give students time to plan and brainstorm ideas for their portfolio.
3. Provide guidance and support as needed during the creation phase.
4. Encourage students to reflect on their learning and growth throughout the year.
5. Provide opportunities for students to share and present their portfolios with their peers.

Assessment

Students will be assessed on their ability to organize and present their learning in a creative and engaging way, their use of various types of media to create their portfolio, and their reflection on their learning and growth throughout the year.

Compliance

This project complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) by ensuring that student data is kept private and secure. Students will be given the option to share their portfolio with their peers and teacher, but their data will not be shared with any third parties without their consent.
