This activity will involve a combination of class discussions, hands-on activities, and group work to engage students in learning about healthy habits.

Step 1: Introduction (10 minutes)
Begin the lesson by discussing with students the importance of taking care of their bodies and why it is essential for their overall well-being. Use the whiteboard or chart paper to write down their responses and create a mind map of healthy habits.
Step 2: Healthy Habits Brainstorm (15 minutes)
Divide the students into small groups and provide each group with markers and construction paper. Instruct them to brainstorm and write down as many healthy habits as they can think of. Encourage creativity and teamwork.
Step 3: Healthy Habits Collage (20 minutes)
Give each group a stack of magazines or printed pictures of healthy foods and physical activities. Instruct them to cut out the pictures and glue them onto the construction paper to create a collage of healthy habits. Remind them to include a variety of healthy foods and different types of physical activities.
Step 4: Group Presentations (10 minutes)
Have each group present their collages to the class. Encourage them to explain why each habit they included is important for their health.
Step 5: Healthy Habits Checklist (15 minutes)
Provide each student with a printed handout containing a checklist of healthy habits. Instruct them to check off the habits they already practice and circle the ones they would like to start incorporating into their daily routines.
Step 6: Class Discussion (10 minutes)
Lead a class discussion based on the checklist. Ask students to share the habits they checked off and discuss why they are important. Encourage them to share any challenges they might face in adopting new habits and brainstorm solutions as a class.
Assess students' understanding of healthy habits through their active participation in the group activities, their ability to explain the importance of each habit in their collages, and their completion of the healthy habits checklist.
Additionally, observe students' engagement and participation during the class discussion to gauge their comprehension of the topic.
