Methodology:

Resources/Materials Required:

• Large poster paper
• Markers, crayons, and colored pencils
• Scissors and glue
• Various natural materials (leaves, twigs, rocks, etc.)
• Books or videos about the environment

Instructions:

1. Begin the activity by gathering the students in a circle and discussing the importance of taking care of the environment. Talk about how we can help protect our planet.

2. Show the students pictures or videos of different elements of the environment, such as forests, oceans, and animals. Discuss each element and its significance.

3. Take the students on an outdoor exploration around the school or nearby park. Encourage them to observe and collect natural materials they find interesting.

4. Return to the classroom and provide each student with a large piece of poster paper.

5. Instruct the students to use the natural materials they collected to create a collage representing the environment. They can also use markers, crayons, and colored pencils to add details.

6. Once the collages are complete, have the students share their artwork with the class. Encourage them to describe the elements they included and explain why they are important.

7. Display the collages around the classroom as a reminder of the students' commitment to taking care of the environment.

Assessment:

To assess the students' understanding, ask them questions such as:

• What are some ways we can take care of the environment?
• Can you name three elements of the environment?
• Why is it important to protect our planet?

Observe the students' participation during the activity and their ability to answer the assessment questions to gauge their comprehension.
