Methodology:

- Plates, bowls, and utensils
- Chart paper and markers
- Healthy eating worksheets
Instructions:
1. Begin the lesson by asking students what they think it means to eat healthy. Write their responses on chart paper.
2. Show the class a food pyramid poster and explain that it represents the different food groups and the recommended servings for each group.
3. Discuss the importance of eating a balanced diet and how it helps our bodies stay healthy and strong.
4. Introduce the five main food groups: fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy, and protein. Show examples of each group and discuss their nutritional benefits.
5. Divide the class into small groups and provide each group with a plate, bowls, and utensils. Give them a variety of food items and ask them to create a balanced meal using the different food groups.
6. After the groups have finished, have them present their meals to the class and explain why they chose each food item.
7. Distribute healthy eating worksheets to each student. Ask them to identify and circle the healthy food choices from a list of options.
8. Wrap up the lesson by reviewing the importance of eating a balanced diet and making healthy food choices.
Assessment:
Assess students' understanding through their participation in group activities, their ability to create a balanced meal, and their completion of the healthy eating worksheets.
