Instructions:
Session 1:
- Introduce the concept of puppetry and drama to the students. Discuss what they already know about puppets and ask them to share any experiences they have had with puppet shows.
- Show examples of puppet shows, either through videos or live performances. Discuss the elements of a story, such as characters, setting, and plot, and how they can be incorporated into a puppet show.
- Brainstorm as a class to come up with ideas for the puppet show. Encourage creativity and collaboration.
Session 2:
- Review the story ideas generated in the previous session. Help the students choose one story to develop further.
- Divide the class into small groups and assign roles for each group member (e.g., puppet makers, storytellers, stage managers).
- Provide craft materials for the students to create their puppets. Guide them in designing and constructing their characters.
Session 3:
- Review storytelling techniques, such as using different voices for different characters and using body language to express emotions.
